Magritte and the transparent art

René François Ghislain Magritte (Lessines, November 21, 1898 - Brussels, 15 August 1967) was a Belgian painter. Together with Paul Delvaux is considered the leader ofSurrealism in Belgium is one of the most original European exponents of the entiremovement. After the initial close to Cubism and Futurism, its figurative style focuses on a technique based on accurate trompe l'oeil, like Salvador Dali and Delvaux, butwithout recourse to the symbolism of the first or paranoid type erotic-inspired by the oldin the second.
